Alot of time has been spent tweaking, testing & CATCHING SHARKS before perfecting.

Now this 316 Stainless Steel Anchor – Semi Breakaway shark fishing anchor is the BEST on the market!

(And unlike other anchors, this is NOT made with inferior metals, designs or sharp points.)

We find this anchor holds well in 35kph winds and 2.5m swells... Any worse weather conditions than that and landbased shark fishing is usually called off.

DEPLOYMENT 🚁🛶

Simply drone or kayak deploy, wind up the slack until the anchor digs in and the line tightens... And wait whilst the bait stays put in the bite zone for a scraming SHARK RUN!

BREAKAWAY SETUP EXPLAINED:

We find 20lb monofilament nylon works best for a breakaway line attached between the tail end of the anchor and the swivel end of the shark leader. 

And the head end of the anchor secured to the leader... 

This way if the bait needs to be retrieved, simply lean back on the rod with full drag and strike, the 20lb breakaway mono line will pop and the anchor will turn around for easy retrieval.

TRACE RIG SPECIFICATIONS 📏

- 20/0 size, 316 stainless steel forged, circle hook.

- 316 stainless steel 7x7 nylon coated steel wire rope, 860lb (390kg) breaking strain.

(2.5mm cable, 3mm external diameter with coating).

- Slimline nickel plated copper crimps, 2 on each end. (New design for improved strength, avoid both slippage and won't get caught sliding through teeth)

- 6/0 stainless steel crane swivel (600lb/272kg).

- 5m red nylon coated cable.

- Anchor attachment point - additional 2 round stopper crimps, 25mm apart with snap clip inbetween & black cable anchor leash with clip for anchor.

- 20lb mono breakaway pre-tied to trace

(Tie the mono so the that the main cable is slightly shorter than the anchor/leash/mono.... this ensures the breakaway line doesn't pop during a strike, only when the line is being retrieved, if a shark takes a run with it and spits it out, the anchor will remain operational for the shark to come back, it wont get washed in / need to be wound in and drone dropped back out)
